Caught In The Crowd - Chapter 13: Never Meant to Happen.

I was nearly at the hotel when a hand tapped my shoulder. I turned my head, to be met by Justin. I rolled my eyes and kept walking, no longer looking at him.

"Do you want me to take her?" He asked softly, placing a hand on my arm.

I shrugged it off. "No, it's cool. I've got her. You can go back to your girlfriend." I said flatly, with no emotion.

He sighed. "I know, you don't have to say it. I'm an idiot."

"I'm not arguing with you." I replied blankly.

"Stop it." He snapped.

"Stop what? I haven't done anything." I retorted.

"Stop being angry with me. I never did anything to you." He snapped again.

"You didn't have to see how upset she was when she thought you didn't want to spend time with her." I muttered, as to not wake Jazmyn and there was a huge amount of awkward silence that followed.

I opened the door and passed Jazmyn to a worried Jeremy. "(YN), you are the most wonderful child I have ever met." He said with a grateful smile.

Jazmyn's mom, Erin, gave me a tight hug and thanked me over and over again. Me and Justin completely ignored eachother for the short time I was there. Although, he kept watching me and I wasn't the only one who seemed to notice. Scooter went to him and began talking to him, though I couldn't hear.

All this stuff that was being kept from me was driving me insane. I said goodbye to everyone and found Justin leaning against the wall next to the door.

"Bye Justin." I muttered as I shut the door behind me.

I was halfway down the stairwell when I heard someone running. "(YN)!" Justin's voice shouted.

I stopped where I was and waited for him. "What do you want?" I asked as he rounded the corner.

"Talk to me. You're making me insane." He demanded. I stayed quiet, not really sure what he meant. "(YN), say something!" He exclaimed.

"I don't know what I'm meant to stay." I answered honestly.

"Anything." He said, sounding desperate. "Tell me you hate me, you never want to see me ever again, you forgive me. I don't care what you say, just say it."

"What do you want me to say, Justin? I don't understand..." I asked softly. I really had no idea why he was being like this but I had noticed that he was extremely close and I couldn't move away; my back was against a wall.

"It's not about me. What are you thinking right now?" He asked, placing his hands on the wall either side of my shoulders. Now I was really trapped.

"I'm wondering why you're doing this, why everyone talks about me and what your mom and Scooter think I can possibly do for you." I said honestly.

He nodded slowly, his hands dropped to my face and his thumbs caressed my cheek. Whatever I was thinking about was gone once he leant down and kissed me.

An arm wrapped around my waist, bringing me closer and despite all of my thoughts that were screaming something at me, my arms slid around his neck. I couldn't even make out my own thoughts. What the hell is happening?

That's when it took a few moments for me to completely realize who was kissing me. Now, I only had one thought. Selena.

I pushed his chest, he looked just as shocked at what we'd done as I was. "(YN), I'm so sorry… I don't know what I was… I didn't mean to." He stuttered.

"Yeah, I know you didn't. I just…" I trailed off and turned to leave.

"No, (YN). Wait." He grabbed my wrist.

I shook my head, trying to ignore his pleading stare. "I have to go." I whispered.

He nodded once, still looking at me sadly but I knew he understood. He released my wrist and I turned and ran. This was so messed up. This was never meant to happen.
